- 5 medium apples (peeled, cored, and chopped)
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 8 flour tortillas (for chips)
Instructions
- In a non-stick skillet over medium heat, combine chopped apples, brown sugar, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, fresh lemon juice, and water. Cook for about 10 minutes until the apples are tender.
- Mix cornstarch with a few tablespoons of water in a small bowl until smooth, then add to the skillet. Stir continuously until thickened.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray both sides of each tortilla with non-stick cooking spray and sprinkle with a mixture of granulated sugar and cinnamon. Bake for about 10 minutes or until crisp.
- Serve the warm apple filling alongside the crispy cinnamon tortilla chips for dipping.
