- 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In one bowl, mix mashed bananas, softened butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla using an electric mixer until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Allow to cool before frosting.
- To make the frosting, beat softened cream cheese until smooth, then gradually add powdered sugar and salt until creamy.
- Frost the cooled cake evenly and serve.
