- 6 medium ripe bananas (cut into chunks)
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light or brown sugar (for filling)
- 1/4 cup orange juice
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup toasted pecans
- 4 tablespoons cold butter (for topping)
- 2 tablespoons butter (for filling)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In one bowl, mix brown sugar, oats, flour, and cold butter cubes until crumbly. Fold in toasted pecans.
- In another bowl, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and combine with light or brown sugar, orange juice, cinnamon, and salt. Gently fold in banana chunks.
- Spread the banana mixture evenly in a baking dish and top with the crumble mixture.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and crispy.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped topping.
