  • Total Time: 48 minutes
  • Yield: About 12 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 530g all-purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ tsp instant yeast
  • 50g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 240g whole milk
  • 85g unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 300g blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 50g granulated sugar (for filling)
  • 1 ½ tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tsp lemon zest
  • ¾ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 113g cream cheese (softened)
  • 30g unsalted butter (softened)
  • 180g confectioners’ sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt (for frosting)
  • 2 tbsp blueberry filling (reserved)

Instructions

  1. Warm the milk and mix it with yeast and sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, eggs, and the milk mixture until a dough forms. Knead in softened butter for about 10 minutes.
  3. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for about 1–1.5 hours until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare the blueberry filling by cooking blueberries with sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and cinnamon until thickened—then cool.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread cooled filling, roll tightly, and cut into equal portions.
  6. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise again for about 30–45 minutes.
  7. Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 25–28 minutes until golden brown.
  8. For frosting, beat cream cheese with butter, then add confectioners’ sugar and reserved blueberry filling.
  9. Frost rolls after cooling slightly.
