Ingredients
- 1 and 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 and 1/4 cup yellow or vanilla boxed cake mix (dry)
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 and 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup sprinkles
Instructions
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, cake mix, salt, and baking soda.
- Beat softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until creamy. Add egg and vanilla; mix until combined.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just blended. Fold in chocolate chips and sprinkles.
- Cover dough and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C) and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop rounded balls of dough onto baking sheets. Bake for 13-15 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
- Allow cookies to cool before enjoying.
