- 6 oranges
- 3 cups (600g) sugar
- 1 2/3 cups (400ml) water
- Spices (cinnamon, cloves, star anise)
- Your preferred chocolate for dipping
Instructions
- Wash the oranges and slice them into 0.3-inch rounds.
- (Optional) Boil the orange slices in water for 5-10 minutes to reduce bitterness.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, spices, and water over medium heat until dissolved.
- Add orange slices to the syrup and simmer for about 1.5 hours until translucent.
- Drain excess syrup and place slices on paper towels to dry.
- Preheat oven to 212°F (100°C), arrange orange slices on a baking sheet, and bake for 30 minutes total (15 minutes each side).
- Once cooled, dip each slice in melted chocolate.
