  • 1 cup granulated sugar (½ cup granulated + ½ cup light brown)

  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour for filling
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease two 9×5-inch loaf pans.
  2. For the cream cheese filling, beat together cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract; fold in flour.
  3. In a separate bowl, mash the ripe bananas and mix in melted butter and both sugars. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder; combine with wet ingredients gently.
  5. Pour half of the batter into each loaf pan, layer with cream cheese mixture, then top with remaining batter.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
