Ingredients
- 12 oz linguine pasta
- 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter (divided)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Cook the linguine in salted boiling water until tender. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then add shrimp seasoned with Cajun spices. Cook until pink.
- Remove shrimp from skillet. In the same pan, melt remaining butter, then stir in heavy cream and milk. Add cheeses and seasonings; mix until smooth.
- Toss cooked linguine into the sauce, adding shrimp back to the pan to combine.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley and extra cheese if desired.
