  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Cook the linguine in salted boiling water until tender. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then add shrimp seasoned with Cajun spices. Cook until pink.
  3. Remove shrimp from skillet. In the same pan, melt remaining butter, then stir in heavy cream and milk. Add cheeses and seasonings; mix until smooth.
  4. Toss cooked linguine into the sauce, adding shrimp back to the pan to combine.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with parsley and extra cheese if desired.
