Ingredients
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 12 oz Turkey sausage (mild or hot), casings removed
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ¾ cup smooth tomato sauce (no chunks)
- ¾ cup heavy cream
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the penne pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve half a cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the Turkey sausage and cook until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Pour in the tomato sauce and heat while scraping any browned bits from the skillet.
- Mix in heavy cream and softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses until melted and creamy.
- Add cooked penne to the sauce, mixing well to coat. Adjust consistency with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
