- 1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg yolk (optional)
- Powdered sugar (optional, for serving)
- Fresh fruit or fruit preserves (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk (if using) until smooth.
- Unroll the crescent dough on a lightly floured surface and press seams together if necessary.
- Cut the dough into triangles or squares and place 1–2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each piece.
- Fold over the filling and pinch edges tightly to seal.
- Place on the baking sheet and bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar or adding fresh fruit/preserves.
