Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh strawberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
Instructions
- Wash and slice the strawberries. Place half into a medium-sized pot.
- Add sugar and lemon juice to the pot, stirring well to combine.
- Over medium heat, gently boil for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the remaining strawberries and cook for an additional 2 minutes until heated through.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before transferring to a jar.
