Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh strawberries
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Rinse strawberries under cold water, remove stems, and slice them.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sliced strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Stir gently.
- Dissolve cornstarch in one tablespoon of water in a small bowl. Once the saucepan mixture simmers, add the cornstarch mixture while stirring continuously. Cook for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving over desserts.
