Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh strawberries (hulled)
- 1/4 cup sugar (or honey/maple syrup)
- 1/4 cup water (for simple syrup)
- 2/3 cup fresh-squeezed lemon juice (about 4-5 lemons)
- 3 cups cold water (or sparkling water)

Instructions
- Wash the strawberries under cold water, hull them, and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1/4 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves completely. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Place the washed strawberries in a blender along with the cooled syrup and blend until smooth.
- Optionally strain the puree through a fine mesh sieve if you prefer smoother lemonade.
- In a large pitcher, mix the strawberry puree, lemon juice, cold water (or sparkling water), and stir well.
- Taste your lemonade and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
- Serve over ice with optional garnishes like mint leaves or lemon slices.
