Ingredients
- 1½ lb sirloin steak, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ tsp Cajun seasoning
- ½ tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 12 oz linguine pasta
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1½ cups heavy cream
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1½ cups sharp cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup Velveeta cheese, cubed
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp Cajun seasoning
- Optional: pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Cook the linguine in boiling salted water until al dente, then drain.
- Season steak strips with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the steak strips for 2–3 minutes per side until golden.
- Reduce heat and add butter and garlic to the skillet; cook until fragrant.
- Return steak to the skillet to coat in garlic butter.
- In another pan, melt butter with olive oil, sauté onion and garlic until soft.
- Stir in heavy cream and milk; simmer before adding cheeses until melted.
- Combine cooked linguine with the cheese sauce. Serve topped with steak strips.
