- 1 ½ lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into cubes
- 12 oz penne pasta
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced (divided)
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
- Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook penne until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Sear seasoned steak cubes until browned on all sides, about 5–7 minutes.
- Reduce heat to medium-low, add butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
- In another pot, melt butter over medium heat, add garlic, then stir in heavy cream and milk. Mix in mozzarella until melted.
- Combine cooked penne with cheese sauce; season to taste with Italian seasoning.
- Serve the cheesy penne topped with garlic butter steak tips.
