  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced (divided)
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook penne until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Sear seasoned steak cubes until browned on all sides, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low, add butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  4. In another pot, melt butter over medium heat, add garlic, then stir in heavy cream and milk. Mix in mozzarella until melted.
  5. Combine cooked penne with cheese sauce; season to taste with Italian seasoning.
  6. Serve the cheesy penne topped with garlic butter steak tips.
