  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 8 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup water (for syrup)
  • 1 cup sugar (for syrup)
  • 2 family-size tea bags (or 8 regular tea bags)
  • 8 cups water (divided for brewing)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: Sliced lemon and strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Syrup: Wash strawberries, remove stems, and cut into quarters. In a medium saucepan, combine strawberries and water; bring to a boil and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Strain the mixture, add sugar to the juice, return it to heat until dissolved, strain again, and cool.
  2. Brew Tea Concentrate: Boil half of the total water (4 cups). Steep tea bags in hot water for about 5 minutes. Remove bags and pour into a pitcher. Add the remaining cold water.
  3. Mix Iced Tea: Once cooled, stir in strawberry syrup into brewed tea until combined.
  4. Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour in iced tea; garnish as desired.
