Ingredients
- 90 ml heavy cream
- 200 g dark cooking chocolate (40% cocoa), finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon finely grated orange peel
- 1/3 cup chocolate sprinkles for coating
Instructions
- Heat the heavy cream in a saucepan over medium heat until it begins to simmer (do not boil).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped dark chocolate. Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit for 2 minutes.
- Stir with a heatproof spatula until smooth, then mix in the grated orange peel.
- Cover the mixture and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until firm enough to scoop.
- Use a small scoop or spoon to portion out the mixture and roll each piece into a ball.
- Roll each truffle in chocolate sprinkles until fully coated, then place on a parchment-lined baking tray.
- Serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
