- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- For the Glaze: 3/4 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp key lime juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan (9×5).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until fluffy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add eggs, key lime zest, key lime juice, and vanilla extract; mix until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt, baking powder, and buttermilk. Gradually add to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for about 45 minutes or until golden brown edges form and a toothpick comes out clean.
- While baking, prepare the glaze by whisking powdered sugar with key lime juice until smooth.
- Allow bread to cool for about 10 minutes before removing it from the pan; drizzle with glaze while warm.
