Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 large apples (finely chopped)
- For Maple Glaze: 2 Tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare an 11×7 inch baking pan with parchment paper or cooking spray.
- In one bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream together softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy. Add eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon; mix well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and fold in chopped apples until combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool.
- Prepare the maple glaze by melting butter in a saucepan over low heat; stir in maple syrup, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until smooth. Drizzle over cooled blondies before slicing.
