- 6 oz full-fat sour cream
- 4 tablespoons softened butter
- 8 oz shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 7 oz green olives, drained and sliced
- 6 oz black olives, drained and sliced
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Kosher salt
- Fresh cracked pepper
- 8-10 oz loaf French bread
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, garlic powder, softened butter, pinch of salt, and pepper; mix until smooth.
- Stir in Monterey Jack cheese and green onions until well blended.
- Gently fold in drained olives until evenly distributed.
- Slice the French bread in half widthwise and then cut each half lengthwise.
- Spread the olive mixture evenly across the cut sides of the bread.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and edges are golden brown.
- For an extra crispy top, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from oven, slice into pieces, garnish if desired, and serve warm.
