- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup salted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp rose extract
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and baking powder; set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream softened butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
- Add the egg and rose extract; mix well.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop dough onto prepared sheets with about two inches between each ball.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
- While warm, press mini chocolate roses on top of each cookie.
- Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
