- 330 g milk (room temperature)
- 250 g cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
- 100 g powdered sugar
- 70 g strawberry jam
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberry filling by cooking strawberries, sugar, and water over medium heat until soft and syrupy. Let cool.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In one bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, mix melted butter, oil, sugars, eggs, and milk until smooth.
- Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients until just mixed; divide into pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean; cool in pans before transferring to racks.
- For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until creamy; mix in powdered sugar and strawberry jam.
- Assemble the cake by layering with strawberry filling and frosting; decorate with diced strawberries.
