  • 1/8 teaspoon fine sea salt (for frosting)
  • 4 cups confectioners’ sugar, sifted
  • 12 Golden sandwich cookies (like Golden Oreos), cream filling removed
  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, lightly crushed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted and cooled

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round baking pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and sugar until smooth. Add egg whites, whole egg, milk, gelatin powder, and vanilla; mix until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet ingredients until just blended.
