Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the strawberries, water, and sugar.
- Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon while gently mashing the berries until well combined.
- Increase the heat to bring the mixture to a boil until the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Reduce to a simmer for about 20 minutes until the syrup deepens in color.
- Remove from heat and strain through a fine mesh strainer into another container without pressing down on the pulp.
- Allow the syrup to cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container.
