Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter and granulated sugar until combined.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  6. Gently fold dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.
  7. If using nuts, fold them in evenly.
  8. Pour batter into the loaf pan and tap gently on the countertop to remove air bubbles.
