Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cinnamon swirl)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1-2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas with the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add in baking soda and salt, then gently fold in the flour until just combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine the cinnamon and additional granulated sugar for the swirl.
- Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it. Add the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Using a knife or skewer, swirl through the batter gently for a marbled effect.
- Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Allow to cool before drizzling with a glaze made by mixing powdered sugar with milk until smooth.
