  • Total Time: 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Yield: Approximately 10 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cinnamon swirl)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas with the granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Add in baking soda and salt, then gently fold in the flour until just combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the cinnamon and additional granulated sugar for the swirl.
  5. Pour half of the banana batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over it. Add the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  6. Using a knife or skewer, swirl through the batter gently for a marbled effect.
  7. Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  8. Allow to cool before drizzling with a glaze made by mixing powdered sugar with milk until smooth.
