Ingredients
- 1/2 cup heavy cream (cold)
- 3 oz semi-sweet chocolate (chopped)
- 4 cups chocolate cake crumbs
- 1/2 cup chocolate frosting (room temperature)
- 1 lb milk chocolate candy coating
- 3 oz dark chocolate candy coating
Instructions
- Prepare the ganache by heating the heavy cream until simmering, then pouring it over the chopped semi-sweet chocolate. Let it sit for 5 minutes before whisking until smooth.
- In another bowl, mix the chocolate cake crumbs with room-temperature frosting until well combined, forming a dough-like consistency.
- Shape about one tablespoon of the mixture into a flat disc, place a small amount of ganache in the center, and roll into a ball.
- Chill truffles on a lined baking sheet for at least 30 minutes until firm.
- Melt milk and dark chocolate coatings separately, dip each truffle in milk chocolate until fully coated, then drizzle dark chocolate on top for decoration.
