- 2 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 teaspoons Italian seasonings
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 10 whole cloves garlic
- ⅓ cup flour
- 2 ½ cups chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and Italian seasonings. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken until golden brown (5–7 minutes per side). Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic until caramelized (2–3 minutes).
- Add flour to the skillet with garlic, stirring to combine. Gradually whisk in chicken broth until smooth; add seasoning.
- Stir in heavy cream and return chicken to the skillet. Simmer for an additional 10–15 minutes until heated through.
