  • 3 tbsp potato starch
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 8 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp neutral oil for pan frying
  • Green onion (green part) for garnish
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix chicken stock, honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and cornstarch; set aside.
  2. Pat chicken thighs dry and coat them with a mixture of potato starch, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Fry chicken until golden brown (about 7 minutes per side). Remove from pan.
  4. Sauté minced garlic and green onions in the same pan until fragrant. Add the prepared sauce and let it thicken slightly.
  5. Return chicken to the pan; cook until heated through.
  6. Serve with rice and garnish with green onion tops and sesame seeds.
