Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Italian seasoning
- Salt
- Pepper
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot and cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and sauté the chicken until golden brown (5-7 minutes). Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, add remaining butter and garlic; sauté until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
- Pour in heavy cream; bring to a gentle simmer for about 3 minutes while stirring.
- Gradually whisk in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth; season as desired.
- Return chicken to the skillet, add drained pasta, and toss to coat.
