Ingredients

  • 2 tsp. sea salt, divided
  • 1 tsp. fresh cracked pepper, divided
  • 1 tsp. oregano, divided
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika, divided
  • 8 oz. turkey strips
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 6 chicken thighs
  • 1 large shallot
  • 3 cloves garlic, grated or pressed
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 2 large peaches, sliced
  • Fresh basil and additional fresh thyme for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Season chicken thighs with half of the salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. In a skillet, cook turkey strips until dark red; remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, heat olive oil and sear chicken thighs until golden brown; set aside.
  4. Sauté shallots and garlic in the skillet until fragrant.
  5. Deglaze with chicken broth; add butter and honey until melted.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet, cover with sauce, and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Add sliced peaches on top, broil for an additional 3-5 minutes until softened.
  8. Serve garnished with fresh herbs.
