Ingredients
- 6 chicken quarters
- ½ apple
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ¼ cup rice vinegar
- 2 inches ginger
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 stalks green onion
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp sweetener (sugar)
- 1 tsp pepper
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sweetener, and pepper. Grate ginger and finely chop garlic and green onion; add to the marinade along with chopped apple.
- Coat chicken quarters in the marinade, seal in a bag or bowl, and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes (or overnight for more flavor).
- Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place marinated chicken legs in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for about 25 minutes, flipping halfway through until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving; optionally sprinkle with sesame seeds.
