Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups creamy conventional peanut butter
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 ounces semisweet baking chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs plus 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the chopped semisweet chocolate and unsalted butter together in a mixing bowl using a microwave in intervals until smooth.
- In another bowl, whisk granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Combine this mixture with the melted chocolate until well blended.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually incorporate this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spread evenly and dollop spoonfuls of peanut butter over it. Top with the remaining batter.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out mostly clean. Allow cooling before slicing into squares.
