Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter (16 Tbsp), softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup light brown sugar, tightly packed
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda, sifted
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a stand mixer, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on high speed for about 5 minutes until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then mix in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Use an ice cream scoop to portion dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly golden but tops are still soft. Allow cooling on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
