Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 red chili pepper, finely chopped (optional)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- Cooked rice for serving
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until browned. Remove from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, sauté the chopped onion for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; cook for an additional minute.
- Stir in the red bell pepper and broccoli florets; stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp. If desired, add finely chopped chili pepper during the last minute.
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and optional red pepper flakes.
- Return the cooked beef to the wok and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir everything together to combine well; cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve over bowls of cooked rice with optional garnishes like sesame seeds or chopped green onions.
