Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (halved horizontally)
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Vegetable oil for frying
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 brioche buns
- Pickle slices
- Butter (for toasting buns)
Instructions
- 1. Marinate the chicken in buttermilk and hot sauce for at least 1 hour.
- 2. Whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, honey, hot sauce, smoked paprika, lemon juice, salt, and pepper for the sauce; refrigerate.
- 3. Mix flour and spices in a shallow dish.
- 4. Dredge marinated chicken in flour mixture and fry in heated vegetable oil until golden brown.
- 5. Toast brioche buns lightly in butter.
- 6. Assemble by spreading sauce on buns, adding pickles and chicken fillets.
