- 1 box (15.25 oz) strawberry cake mix
- 8 tablespoons (1/2 cup) butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- Optional: powdered sugar or pink granulated sugar
- 30 chocolate kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, melted butter, and egg until smooth.
- Add softened cream cheese to the mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
- Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and roll in powdered sugar or pink sugar if desired.
- Place cookie balls on prepared baking sheets and bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are set.
- Let cookies rest for 1–2 minutes before pressing a chocolate kiss into each center.
- Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
