- ¼ cup granulated sugar (for glaze)
- Juice of half a lemon (for glaze)
- Warm water (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix milk, melted butter, egg, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and zest until combined.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients; fold gently until just mixed.
- Add chopped strawberries and fold until evenly distributed.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- To make the glaze, whisk together sugar, lemon juice, and warm water until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over warm bread once cooled slightly.
